All for God

Omnia pro Deo, or "All for God", reveals the thoughts and observations of one who is on a spiritual journey. This journey is of the Order of the Present Moment, in which the moments have unfolded throughout a life drawing closer to God. A spiritual journal includes thoughts and emotions, but also the physical interactions in the temporal world as this world intersects with the supernatural world of the soul.

Will the Real Jesus Please Stand Up?

I had in mind to post on this particular blog various renderings of Jesus.

You are familiar with the examples of art: Jesus as a baby, at twelve, as a young man, as teacher, healer, servant; Jesus being baptized, praying, consoling; loving children; Jesus suffering, dying, and risen.

Perhaps this is a visual glimpse of the answer to the question I have asked. Perhaps Jesus, my Spouse, and His mother, my mother-in-law, expect me to be the Zenith Beagle of the Order of the Present Moment in all its evolving moments which require various exterior demeanors. The inner remains as my soul "be's"-- moment by moment. Yet it is the soul which must be groomed and dressed for eternity.

What are the requirements? The virtues, especially the theological three: faith, hope and love; on-going body-mind-heart-soul work; and much grace from Jesus.

It is said that when the Blessed Virgin Mary appeared to Catherine Laboure and told her to have a medal cast of her in that particular pose, there were streams of light coming from nearly all--but not all--the Holy Mother of God's fingers. "What are these rays of light which shine down to the earth upon which you stand?" asked Catherine who just a week earlier became a novice in this particular French convent. Mary answered, "The rays are graces which my Son asks me to depart to all those who ask."

"And why don't the rays extend from every finger?" questioned Catherine.

"The fingers without rays streaming represent the many graces which are withheld simply because souls do not ask for them!" Mary responded with marked sorrow.

So, yes, I ask for all graces necessary and of which I don't even know necessary, in order for my soul to be clothed as the real Zenith Beagle is supposed to appear to Jesus and others, to my fellow earthlings, and for all eternity.
